CDP Brought Together Nicaragua’s Gaming Community for the Exclusive Launch of the G-SMART 1516
A technology-driven experience combining power protection, high performance, and RGB customization for gamers and content creators.
On August 15, 2026, Chicago Digital Power (CDP), together with its strategic partner SICSA, hosted an exclusive event on the 9th floor of the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Managua. The event brought together members of the gaming community and content creators for an experience focused on technology, power protection, and entertainment. The main highlight of the event was the G-SMART 1516, a 1500 VA / 900 W UPS that combines protection, backup power, and design, created for users who rely on their equipment for gaming, streaming, editing, and content creation.
One of the most memorable moments was the real-time backup test. During a gaming session on a high-performance setup assembled by SICSA, the G-SMART 1516 was disconnected from the electrical grid. Despite the power outage, participants continued playing without interruption, while the UPS kept its RGB lighting active in battery mode and provided 28 minutes of backup power during the demonstration.
The event also featured interactive activities, demonstrations of UPS management through its app, and experiences that allowed attendees to explore the features of the G-SMART 1516, including its RGB customization options. For the first time, CDP brought together 28 content creators from Nicaragua’s gaming and geek community in an exclusive setting, strengthening the brand’s connection with a segment that requires reliable solutions to protect gaming, streaming, and editing stations.
With this launch, CDP continues to strengthen its presence in Nicaragua while bringing new power protection and backup solutions to different types of users, building on a track record of more than 20 years in the Nicaraguan market.
